KCC Training with Sam Konstas

A Memorable Day at KCC

On Friday, 24th October, Kingsgrove Cricket Club had the absolute pleasure of welcoming back one of our own - Sam Konstas, former KCC junior and now an Australian cricketer - for a special club training day and meet & greet.

The event brought together players, parents, and supporters to celebrate Sam’s inspiring journey from our local grounds to the national stage.

Check out a video from the day here!

The Day In Action

From 4:30pm to 5:30pm, players took part in a lively club training session filled with energy and enthusiasm.

As the session wrapped up, Sam Konstas arrived to a warm welcome from players, families, and supporters. He spent time chatting with members, taking photos, signing autographs, and sharing stories about his cricketing journey - from his early days at Kingsgrove to representing Australia.

The atmosphere was buzzing, and it was wonderful to see so many members come together to celebrate one of KCC’s own.

Inspiration for the Next Generation

Sam’s visit was a powerful reminder of what dedication, hard work, and passion can achieve. His story - from a KCC junior cricketer to wearing the Australian colours - continues to inspire our young players to dream big and aim high.

Thank You!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, our coaches and volunteers who helped run the day, and of course to Sam Konstas for taking the time to come home to KCC.

It was a proud day for the club and a wonderful celebration of our cricketing community.
